Pinewood Elementary is a positive learning community that recognizes the potential in all people and encourages personal responsibility for growth.
by loving, caring, sharing and respecting
by working together as a team, learning from each other, being involved, belonging, contributing, respecting one another.
by exploring, discovering, investigating, analyzing, inferring and feeling successful and motivated.
and finally, by valuing respect and personal responsibility.
Holy Rosary and Lewis King Elementary schools were amalgamated by a resolution from Council in March 2004. The name of the school reflects the immediate environment of the two campuses, the magnificent pine trees of the Lanaudière area.
Pinewood is an English school, with a strong French second language program. Our teachers attend workshops frequently to keep up-to-date with the latest innovations to education.
Both campuses are equipped with computer labs, and every classroom with a Smartboard. Our students also enjoy the use of our growing collection of iPads.
Pinewood's biggest strength is its sense of community. Our parents are encouraged to play an active and integral part in their child's academic and extra-curricular life. The PPO's fundraiser reflect this philosophy be holding family events to reach fundraising goals.
